Our commitment to your privacy
At Lifepin, your privacy is a core part of how we design and operate our platform.
Lifepin is designed to help adults build meaningful and compatible relationships that may lead to marriage. To provide our services, we may collect and process personal information, including certain sensitive information that you choose to provide to us.

We consider privacy throughout the design and development of our products and services. We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information and continually review our privacy and security practices.
Our Commitment to Transparency
We want you to understand what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, who may have access to it and the choices available to you.
We have therefore tried to make this Privacy Policy as clear and straightforward as possible.
Our Commitment to Security
We implement technical and organisational measures designed to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.
No digital system can guarantee absolute security, but we continually review our security practices as Lifepin evolves.

5. Private compatibility information
Certain information you provide to Lifepin is collected specifically to improve compatibility and matching.
HIV Status
Your HIV status is private.
It is not displayed on your Lifepin profile and is not disclosed to potential matches or users with whom you match.
Lifepin may use this information privately within its matching and compatibility systems where relevant.

These categories are matching information, not profile information.
Access within Lifepin is restricted to authorised systems, personnel and service providers where access is reasonably necessary for matching, technical operation, security, legal compliance or another authorised purpose.
Where required by law, Lifepin will obtain explicit consent before processing this information.
6. Identity verification and NIN

We may use this information to verify information such as:
- legal name;
- identity;
- date of birth;
- age;
- photograph; and
- other information reasonably necessary to verify identity.
Information provided during registration may be compared with verified identity information to confirm that the account belongs to the person creating it.
NIN information may be used for identity verification, fraud prevention, safety, regulatory compliance and related security purposes.
Your NIN is private and is never displayed to other Lifepin users.
Access to NIN and related verification information is restricted and subject to appropriate security controls.
Where Lifepin uses third-party identity-verification providers, such providers are required to process personal information only for authorised purposes and subject to appropriate confidentiality, privacy and security requirements.
7. Passports and other identity documents

- other information reasonably required to verify identity.
Identity documents are private.
They are not displayed on your profile or disclosed to other Lifepin users.

As part of this process, Lifepin may collect and process facial geometry and other biometric information derived from photographs, videos or verification captures.
We may use this information to:
- verify identity;
- compare verification images with profile photographs;

Biometric information is treated as sensitive personal information.
Where required by law, Lifepin will obtain explicit consent before collecting or processing biometric information.
Biometric information and facial geometry are private and are never displayed to other Lifepin users.
Where third-party verification providers process biometric information on our behalf, they are required to process that information only for authorised purposes and subject to appropriate contractual, privacy and security requirements.

If a feature requires precise location information, Lifepin will request appropriate permission through your device.
You may change your location permissions through your device settings.
Certain location-based features may not function correctly if location access is disabled.
We will process precise location information in accordance with the permissions you grant and applicable law.

In particular:
HIV status, genotype and libido may be used privately by Lifepin’s matching and compatibility systems but are not displayed or disclosed to other users.
Lifepin may use automated systems, algorithms or machine-learning technologies to organise, filter and recommend profiles.
A Lifepin recommendation represents an assessment based on the information and preferences available to our systems. It does not guarantee compatibility, attraction, relationship success, marriage or any particular outcome.
Where applicable law gives you rights concerning automated decision-making, you may exercise those rights by contacting Lifepin.
16. How we share information

Any such transfer will remain subject to applicable data protection requirements.

- HIV status;
- genotype or genetic information;

You can update certain account and profile information directly through Lifepin.
Certain information important to identity, verification, safety or matching may not be freely editable after registration.
This may include:
- gender;
- date of birth;
- genotype;
- HIV status; and
- verified identity information.
If information that cannot be directly edited is inaccurate, you may contact Lifepin Support to request a correction.
Restrictions on direct editing are intended to help protect account integrity and prevent misuse. They do not prevent users from exercising applicable rights to correct inaccurate personal information.
21. Account deletion
Lifepin does not automatically delete your account merely because you have been inactive for a particular period.
You may request deletion of your Lifepin account through the account-deletion functionality provided within Lifepin or by contacting Lifepin Support where necessary.
Deleting the Lifepin App from your device does not delete your Lifepin account.
When you request account deletion, your profile will cease to be available to other users following processing of the deletion request.
Certain information may continue to be retained where necessary and permitted by law, including for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
22. Data retention
Lifepin retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or another lawful purpose.
Different categories of information may have different retention periods.
When determining an appropriate retention period, we may consider:
- why the information was collected;
- the nature and sensitivity of the information;
- whether your account remains active;
- security and fraud-prevention requirements;
- applicable legal and regulatory obligations;
- contractual obligations;
- potential disputes or claims; and
- whether the information can be securely deleted or anonymised.
When your account is deleted, we will delete or anonymise personal information that we no longer have a lawful reason to retain.
We may retain limited information after account deletion where reasonably necessary to:
- comply with applicable law;
- prevent fraud or abuse;
- maintain safety and security;
- prevent banned users from circumventing restrictions;
- maintain financial or transaction records;
- respond to lawful requests;
- resolve disputes; or
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Information retained for these purposes will not remain publicly visible simply because it is retained internally.
23. Security
We implement technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the nature and sensitivity of the information we process.
Sensitive information, including NIN information, identity documents, biometric information, HIV status, genotype and libido information, is subject to heightened access and security controls.
Measures may include, where appropriate:
- encryption;
- access controls;
- authentication;
- restricted internal permissions;
- security monitoring;
- secure infrastructure;
- logging;
- security testing; and
- incident-response procedures.
No internet-based service or electronic storage system can guarantee absolute security.
Users are responsible for protecting their login credentials and should notify Lifepin if they believe their account has been accessed without authorisation.
24. International data transfers
Lifepin and its service providers may process or store personal information in countries other than the country in which you live.
Where personal information is transferred internationally, Lifepin will use safeguards required by applicable data protection law.
25. Age requirements
Lifepin is an adult platform intended for individuals within its specified age range.
You must be at least 22 years old and no more than 70 years old to create or maintain a Lifepin account.
Individuals aged 21 or younger are not permitted to use Lifepin.
Individuals aged 71 or older are not eligible to create or maintain a Lifepin account.
Lifepin may use identity and age-verification measures to enforce these requirements.
If we determine that a user does not meet our age requirements, we may prevent registration, suspend the account or close the account in accordance with our Terms of Use.
26. Privacy by design
Because Lifepin processes information that may be particularly sensitive, privacy considerations form part of how we design our Services.
Where reasonably practicable, we:
- limit access to sensitive information;
- separate private matching information from publicly visible profile information;
- restrict sensitive information to authorised purposes;
- use appropriate technical and organisational security measures; and
- collect information that is reasonably necessary for identified purposes.
Information used privately by Lifepin’s matching system does not become publicly visible merely because it forms part of a compatibility assessment.
In particular, HIV status, genotype and libido are private compatibility information and are not profile information visible to other users.
27. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Lifepin develops, our processing activities change or legal requirements evolve.
Where changes are material, we will provide appropriate notice before those changes take effect where required by law.
We encourage users to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
The date of the latest revision will be displayed at the beginning of this Privacy Policy.
